Omni Services Values Hose Quality & Safety

If a product fails or isn’t working like it should, not only is it an inconvenience, it can cause costly downtime, rework and can be a safety hazard. We recognize that not every product will be 100% defect free and that is why we have a quality director whose job is to mitigate quality issues before they happen and to force corrective measures should an issue arise. This is an essential role to Omni and its customers who rely on the thousands of hose and tube assemblies produced every year. Our quality director follows industry leading best practices and maintains our ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Providing safe, reliable, hose and tube assemblies is our job. We go to great lengths to train our fabricators and sales team how to properly qualify, source and fabricate for each unique opportunity that we’re given. Training includes successfully completing NAHAD’s (National Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution) Hose Safety Institute certification for hydraulic hose, Industrial hose, and Fluoropolymer hose (PTFE).

In addition to completing both the Design and Fabrication exams as well as the Hose Assembly Guideline exams, employees must complete a minimum of level 200 training at Eaton’s Aeroquip School. Training by other leading manufacturers such as Continental ContiTech and Dixon school are also attended where applicable.

Designated a STAR distributor by Continental ContiTech isn’t easy and it shouldn’t be. This designation is given to the few distributors that demonstrate and have the product and capabilities to fabricate ContiTech industrial hose to their strict standards. This process is monitored through yearly audits by Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) to ensure that the processes set forth are followed and documented.

Training our employees to fabricate safe hose assemblies is essential but we also offer training to our customers who have fabrication equipment through Omni Services. This helps ensure that customers are also fabricating assemblies according to spec and in a safe and reliable manor.
