Thick Wall PTFE Hose
Thick wall PTFE hose is a slightly thicker model of PTFE hose, giving this hose better resistance to gas permeation, as well as increased resistance to heat cycling in comparison to standard PTFE. Thick wall PTFE hoses have an inner tube made from non-conductive Teflon®
fluoropolymer (although there is also a conductive version), with a stainless-steel braid reinforcement layer/cover.
In addition to being used in steam and chemical transfer applications, thick wall PTFE hose is approved by the FDA for food service use, making it an even more dynamic PTFE hose choice. Its operating temperature is -65°F to 450°F and it maintains a working pressure range of 900 psi to 3500 psi.
