Molded Tubing

Molded tubing is created by using existing polymer hose or tubing like silicone or thermoplastic, placing it into a mold or jig then applying heat and pressure to thermoform the tubing into the specified shape.

Molded tubing can be useful in tight spaces where normally the hose or tube would be susceptible to kinking but because the shape of the hose is molded to the predefined shape kinking is avoided. Examples of materials that are commonly molded are PTFE, thermoplastic, silicone, HDPE, TPU and TPE. If you aren’t sure which type of plastic will be the best choice for your specifications and applications, Omni Services can help you choose!
